Thank you for taking the time to read and comment. To answer your question, China banned the sale of many wildlife species in 2021 (after the outbreak). Unfortunately, the government seems to be relaxing the restrictions now. This is a hard problem to tackle because wildlife trade is the livelihood of many people in China (~14 million), especially low-income people.
