Hi Paul,

Thank you for reading and for your comment. I would just note that nowhere in the article is said that the "pandemic is over", what the WHO actually said was that it was no longer an international emergency. That does not mean that is is no longer a problem. Much like AIDS and the Flu, these are problems we need to deal with but they are not international emergencies. Furthermore, the word "Pandemic" implies a novel disease and at some point Covid is no longer novel.

Regarding all the work we have yet to do and face, I completely agree with you. Although, you can only begin to rebuild and care for long term damage after you switch off the damage control mode.
