The analogy is on point, however as it is, it is somewhat shallow. Things are not so simple and it would have been interesting to see you stretch things a bit further. Sometimes we need to deal with the immediate problems if we want to keep the long-term treatments. For example you need to fix your car to go to work to pay for cancer treatments. That also happens in political decision making, it's not just "vacations" and "TPS reports".
